A Nigerian man’s recent revelation about secretly conducting a DNA test on his newborn shortly after delivery has stirred significant reactions on social media.
Sharing his story through an anonymous post on X (formerly Twitter), he disclosed that he carried out the test just hours after the child’s birth while his wife was still in the hospital.
According to his account, the DNA test results revealed that he is not the biological father of the child, leaving him devastated.
The man mentioned that his wife remains unaware of the test and its outcome.
Given her current condition post-delivery, he has chosen not to confront her at this time.
In an effort to process the shocking news, he reportedly left his home and relocated temporarily to Abuja. This revelation has sparked widespread discussion online, with many debating the ethical and emotional complexities surrounding paternity tests and trust within relationships.
In his words, he shared: “Baba Wiz, it’s mind-blowing. My wife had a baby last week, and I secretly did a DNA test while we were still at the hospital. The baby isn’t mine. I’ve locked my house and am now in Abuja, trying to cool off.”
He added, “I live in Enugu, and she’s still in the hospital with her mom due to some minor complications. I couldn’t confront her because she’s in a vulnerable state.”
As the post circulated, concerned readers flooded the comments with advice and reactions.

@Ishow_leck: “God abeg oooo. This is why they said that DNA is more important than the naming ceremony. You’ve done so well, man. I took the right step. The fact that you pitted her condition and worked out silently is nice.”
@Ne0_0fficiall: “Abandon them there in the hospital and move on with your life. Don’t fall for the tears or any sort of plea & manipulation. Paternity fraud is genuinely the most devilish thing any woman can do to a man. Another man gets to fvck for free and leave while you bear responsibilities.”
@maziechidiime: “Biko kindly pay up the hospital bills and send her some cash to hold on to, then break the new to her mother before 3 days. Her mother will move her to the village from there. Women know what they are doing. She knows the biological father too.”
@pappyjayfresh: “You even get pity, you try. Person wey go bring another pikin for you no get the tiniest pity for you at all. There you go!!!”
@Truthster24: “Get the DNA results, scan them, open a WhatsApp group, add all her family members and post the result and inform them that the marriage is over. Do this and never show your face again until you go to dissolve the marriage in court.”
@LyndaUdoji: “This is a very smart one. I love it. Let me give you more info, DNA can be conducted as early as 5 months into pregnancy. So you fit abandon am with the belle sef once you find out the foetus is not yours.”
@drarigbabu: “Tell her ur findings while she is still in the hospital. Check that the baby is also hers. Because u said she has some complications, meaning they cld have taken the baby to the neonatal unit. Unfortunately, new born babies sometimes get mixed up in the hospital.”
