Our Elders and fellow Alumni Members of Methodist High School Owo (MHSO), it is my pleasure to welcome you all this morning, to the Launch of the Ibadan Zone of our Association - Methodist High School Owo Old Students’ Association (METHSOOSA). On behalf of our Executive Committee Members, I thank you Sirs and Mas, for finding time to grace this Occasion. I know that you are here because of your passion for MHSO - our Alma Mater, and your belief in the spirit behind this gathering. You are highly appreciated. I pray that our homes, works and businesses will continue to experience peace and fruitfulness.

INTRODUCTION:

We are all aware that the Launch of the Ibadan Zone (consisting of towns in Oyo State and its environs), is the third of such Launching this year. Ibadan as a Commercial City that boasts of many Industrial Organizations, as well as many National and International Educational and Economic institutions, with its attendant large population, cannot but host our Zone, more so, when we have many of our Alumni Members based in Ibadan, and it is expedient to reach out to all our Members domiciled here.

ESSENCE OF IBADAN ZONE:

Our gathering here today, is first and foremost, to get to meet one another and know ourselves. It is expected that our intimacy will bring about our helping one another in every way possible. It is also essential to educate ourselves on how we can continue to be self-content in the present economic quagmire in Nigeria. Most of all, our gathering is to deliberate and strategize on how to bring more developments to MHSO, and stem the stagnation of the School. Our ultimate goal is for MHSO to be counted amongst the Secondary Schools in Ondo State, nay Nigeria, that are aesthetic, and also excelling in academics, and morals. I believe with the cooperation of all of us, and God on our side, we'll succeed in our desired objectives.

OPERATING GUIDELINES OF IBADAN ZONE:

The Ibadan Zone will be guided by the Rules and Regulations of METHSOOSA, which was posted to the Zone's Platform on September 4, 2023 - the date of its Creation by our Executive Committee. We will be appreciative for the faithfulness of all our Members, to these Guidelines.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS:

For Ibadan Zone to have a solid foundation, Election of Officers, who will oversee its activities and programmes, has been scheduled to hold at this Launch. I therefore, call on all our Members to make nominations for the Offices already stated in the Programme of Event. Please, let's volunteer ourselves to serve the cause of our Alma Mater, and humanity as well.

As usual, we did not take any money from our Association's Account for the Launching of this Zone.
