Gwoza: Military Launches Attack With Four Helicopters, Two Jets to Rescue Chibok Girls

The Nigerian military is set to carry out a coordinated attack to liberate the town of Gwoza in Borno state from the clutches of the Boko Haram sect, the PUNCH is reporting.

The paper says the army has deployed four attack helicopters and two air force fighter jets to flush out the insurgents in the area.

PUNCH sources say that the jets and helicopters left Yola, in Adamawa at 3pm enroute Gwoza, the last Borno town under the control of the insurgents.

President Jonathan on Wednesday had promised Nigerians that the insurgents would be forced out of Gwoza, the town where the abducted Chibok girls are reportedly being kept.
