Question: What would happen to churches in Nigeria if tithing is banned?

For the past few weeks now tithe/tithing has been controversial.  This has generated heat from all angles; Pastors/G.Os contradicting themselves. Many church goers' eyes are more open than before. According to information; churches are everywhere in every nook and corner in Nigeria.  Visions, prophecies (fake/genuine) and all sorts of ideas are in vogue to ensure that each church has more followers.  Competition is at high heaven.  Use of flowery words, axiomatic expressions, consolatory axioms, psychological/philosophical words/terminologies, References, quotations, miracles etc are the order of the day in every church.

The fear of sudden reduction of followers, nose-diving in investment, no more jets for interested G.OS or Pastors, no more expensive materials including cars, no more gift for the G.Os/Pastors. Where will the money to pay for electricity, water, servicing of jets, established Universities etc come from?.  Warehouses turned to churches will become vacant for business, Some Pastors will become jobless, rise in unemployment rate,  (Babalawos will get more clients?)..... Up till now I am still searching for a genuine G.O/Pastor as non of them  saw in their vision that:

Nigerians are suffering or would suffer, enslaved, sold etc in foreign country.

The use of Death as fear is no more a big thing or deal; we will all die one day, one after the other.  Some of us have no father, mother, wife"less", no husband, divorced/divorcee even some dont know where the next meal will come from.  What of these returnees from abroad.

Let the churches support the community/government. Competition is very unhealthy,  buying jets, living larger than life style, driving expensive vehicles while others are suffering shoud not be the order of the day.  Modest living is the best for the men of God.

Remember, we will all give account of our deeds to our God one day. What of Miracle? I beg commot for me jare, wetin? Humm hmm, miracle? all na "agbari".
