'He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.'-Angel
You are welcome to this month, our month of resurrection.
Resurrection means coming back to life from death. Spring(April) means rising from dead winter. Resurrection means recovering from death, resurrection means a new beginning from the worst region. I prophesy to this month whatever is dead in you shall resurrect in Jesus name. Whatever has totally collapsed in you will come alive. God will rebuild your life afresh. Whatever decision you have made and you are regretting, God says 'I am working out my purposes for you; you will see me in action.' Resurrection is about healing dead parts of a body God says 'you are healed.' All the dead issues; dead marriage, dead business, dead part of your body, dead dreams, dead ministry, dead womb, dead brain Jesus says he is the resurrection and the life, they will come alive! Friend that is the beauty of this month, and not this month alone, it is that God will do something supernatural about your matter. Resurrection is not theory, it is not an abstract phenomenon, it is real, Jesus rose from the grave. An empty tomb is there to show for it! 'He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come; see where his body was lying. Matt 28:6. You too will resurrect. Happy Month of Resurrection in Jesus name. Glory to God Nigeria will resurrect!
What is resurrection?
According to Wikipedia 'Resurrection (from Latin resurrectio) is the concept of a living being coming back to life after death. It is a religious concept, where it is used in two distinct respects: a belief in the resurrection of individual souls that is current and ongoing (Christian idealism, realized eschatology), or else a belief in a singular resurrection of the dead at the end of the world. The resurrection of the dead is a standard eschatological belief in the Abrahamic religions'
Is the resurrection of Jesus Christ real?
I know what you are thinking, Dada, this is not Chemical Engineering. This is not a mathematical equation; you have no means of proving this. To an extent you are right. I am not even trying to prove it, it is not necessary; however there are written, credible historical and practical evidences that cannot be ignored to the extent of Jesus' resurrection. But you and I know there are so many things we cannot prove, there is no need to prove them, we just believe them and enjoy them.
Seth Lloyd on science says 'I cannot prove that electrons exist, but I believe fervently in their existence. And if you don't believe in them, I have a high voltage cattle prod I'm willing to apply as an argument on their behalf. Electrons speak for themselves.'
However Jesus gave us a taste of resurrection when he was on earth. Before he raised Lazarus he said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who has power to raise the dead cannot be confined by death.
I read a book a long time ago titled 'Who moved the stone? By Frank Morison. The strangeness of the Resurrection story had captured his attention and influenced by skeptic thinkers at the turn of the century, he set out to prove that the story of Christ’s Resurrection was only a myth. His probings however, led him to discover the validity of the biblical record in a moving, personal way. Who Moved the Stone? is considered by many to be a classic apologetic on the subject of the Resurrection. Morison includes a vivid and poignant account of Christ’s betrayal, trial and death as a backdrop to his retelling of the climactic Resurrection itself. I recommend it for your perusal. But that is going too far. This year by the grace of God I will clock six decades on earth. I was born in a mission house by parents who believed in the resurrection power and prayer. They bequeathed that to me as a legacy and I have in health and many areas of life enjoyed the resurrection power beyond description here. All you need to do is to attend a service today and you hear a person, any believer, not just a pastor, praying for someone and you will see healing taking place. I guess you read also the account of Peter in Acts chapter three how just mentioning the name of Jesus made the lame to walk entering the synagogue and singing praises.
Jesus resurrection -humanity game changer.
The death and resurrection of Jesus is the central focus of Christianity. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a world game changer. It split our calendar to the A.D. and the B.C. No other event has impacted humanity and the world so much as the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is divinity invading humanity in a grand style. Have you ever asked yourself how did 12 peasant fishermen, tax collectors, farmers – how in the world did they multiply – 12 followers of Jesus to one out of every three people on the planet [identifying as Christian]? The answer is the power, resurrection revolution!
Read this online anonymous write up about the man of Calvary- Jesus Christ the Lord:
“More than 2000 years ago, there was a Man born contrary to the laws of life. This Man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity. He did not travel extensively. Only once did He cross the boundary of the country in which He lived; that was during His exile in childhood.”
“He possessed neither wealth nor influence. His relatives were inconspicuous, and had neither training nor formal education. In infancy He startled a king; in childhood He puzzled doctors; in manhood He ruled the course of nature, walked upon the billows as if pavements, and hushed the sea to sleep. He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His service.”
“He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries of the country could not hold the books that have been written about Him. He never wrote a song, and yet He has furnished the theme for more songs than all the song writers combined.”
“He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students. “He never marshaled an army, nor drafted a soldier, nor fired a gun; and yet no leader ever had more volunteers who have, under His orders, made more rebels stack arms and surrender without a shot fired.”
“He never practiced psychiatry, and yet He healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near. Once each week the wheels of commerce cease their turning and multitudes wend their way to worshipping assemblies to pay homage and respect to Him.”
“The names of the past proud statesmen of Greece and Rome have come and gone. The names of the past scientists, philosophers, and theologians have come and gone; but the name of this Man abounds more and more. Though time has spread nineteen hundred years between the people of this generation and the scene of His crucifixion, yet He still lives. Herod could not destroy Him, and the grave could not hold Him.
“He stands forth upon the highest pinnacle of heavenly glory, proclaimed of God, acknowledged by angels, adored by saints, and feared by devils, as the living, personal Christ, our Lord and Savior.”
What if there was no resurrection?
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul explains in detail the importance of the resurrection of Christ. Some in Corinth did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, and in this chapter Paul gives six disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection: 1) preaching Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2) faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3) all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4) no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5) all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6) Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19). The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the foundation of the Christian system (1 Corinthians 15:14ff). If there was no resurrection, Christianity is a hoax, and we are wasting our time. But the truth is, the event of Jesus’ resurrection is incontrovertible. Professor Thomas Arnold of Rugby, a world-renowned historian, once said that Christ’s resurrection from the dead is the “best-attested fact in human history” Halleluyah Christ indeed has risen from the dead and “has become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (v. 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection.
What is the significance of Jesus resurrection to you today?

4. The resurrection enabled us to have God's spirit inside us. (Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:19-20)
5. God loves us unconditionally. (John 3:16,17, 1 John 13:34-35)

As we celebrate Easter this month and the resurrection, enjoy all the benefits Jesus has wrought for you.The resurrection is the triumphant and glorious victory for every believer. Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose the third day according to the Scripture. And, He is coming again! The dead in Christ will be raised up, and those who remain and are alive at His coming will be changed and receive new, glorified bodies (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important to salvation? It demonstrated that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. It proves that God has the power to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life. That is our blessed hope. Joshua said 'as for me and my family, we shall serve the Lord'; let me add 'as for me and my family, we shall enjoy the full benefits of the power of the resurrected Christ'.
