My Month of Transformation by His Power (Transformed by His Power: A Journey of Spiritual Renewal) By Pastor Amos Dada PhD P. Eng

It is with great delight that I welcome you to the month of September our “Month of Transformed by His PowerIt is my prayer that as you pass through this month you will hear the Word of God, and experience God’s power and it will change, renew and transform you and produce a better version of you.

For the past twenty-one year, September has become our special month in CAC Bethel Canada Zone, when we hold our International Gathering of Eagle Conference. This year’s conference is scheduled for September 19-22, 2024, and our theme this year is “Transformed by His Power”.

Transformation is a word we hear often, whether in the context of self-help, education, or even in the world around us as seasons change and things evolve. But there is a transformation that surpasses all others—a transformation that only God Himself through the Holy Spirit can bring about in our lives. This is not just a change of habits or a shift in perspective. This is a profound, deep-rooted change that affects every part of our being—our hearts, minds, and souls and draws us to Jesus Christ, enables us to fulfill our purpose and fulfill our glorious destiny.

The Bible is full of stories of individuals who were transformed by God's power. We see Saul, the persecutor of Christians, became Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles. We see Peter, a simple fisherman, transformed to a fisher of men. And, we see the greatest transformation of all—sinners becoming saints, the lost becoming found, the broken being made whole.

The Bible says ”But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1 :8.

As we delve into this theme this month I want to remind you that transformation is not just a one-time event. It is a continual process, a daily renewal, as we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, shaping us more and more into the image of Christ. So, whether you feel stagnant in your faith, or you're seeking a fresh encounter with God, my prayer for you this month is that you would be open to the transforming power of God in your life.

And wherever you are, find your way to 22-94 Kenhar Dr. Toronto, Canada as an eagle and be part of International Gathering of Eagles Conference 2024. You are not a chicken you are an eagle let us soar together!

Understanding Divine Transformation

When we talk about being transformed by His power, we are talking about a radical, supernatural change that only God can bring about. The word "transformation" in Scripture is derived from the Greek word metamorphosis which describes the process by which a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. This is not a minor adjustment; it is a complete change in form, function, and nature. Similarly, when God transforms us, He does not merely adjust our habits or improve our behavior—He makes us entirely new creations. 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

This is the essence of divine transformation—a total renewal that affects every aspect of our being: our thoughts, our desires, our actions, and our purpose.  In today Christianity, the vocabulary of transformation is merely academic and at best superficial. Transformation involves consecration, sanctification, living a holy life and life that Christ can be happy about. Transformation involves answering these pertinent three questions the psalmist threw at us; who shall climb the hill of The Lord.” Who shall abide in his tabernacle? Who shall dwell in his holy hill Psalm 24;3, 15:1-Those who walk uprightly, righteousness, speaks truth, has clean hands, pure heart has not lifted his soul to vanity or sworn deceitfully…. Do you pass that test? If not you are the candidate for transformation!

The Role of the Holy Spirit in Transformation

As Christians, we must acknowledge that true transformation cannot be achieved through human effort alone. It is the work of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us from the moment we accept Christ as our Savior. The Holy Spirit is the agent of transformation, and it is through His power that we are sanctified, renewed, and empowered for ministry.

The Apostle Paul, in Romans 12:2, exhorts us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." The mind is the battleground of transformation. It is here that the Holy Spirit works to reshape our thoughts, align our will with God’s, and empower us to live out our calling. This transformation is not a one-time event but an ongoing process—a daily surrender to the Holy Spirit’s work within us.

Transformed Leaders are needed.

This generation needs transformed leaders. The so-called leaders we have now are too selfish and self centred. They are chicken always gathering everything to themselves. As leaders, our transformation is not only for our benefit but also for those we lead. Our lives are a testimony to the power of God. When we are transformed, we become living epistles read by all men (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). The authenticity of our ministry hinges on the evidence of transformation in our own lives.

A transformed leader is one who leads with integrity, humility, and the fear of the Lord. Such a leader is not swayed by the pressures of the world but stands firm in the truth of God’s Word. In a world where leadership is often synonymous with power and control, a transformed leader serves in the spirit of Christ—leading by example, washing the feet of the disciples, and laying down their life for the sheep.

Our transformation is also essential for effective ministry. The challenges we face in ministry—the spiritual battles, the resistance, the temptations—cannot be overcome by mere human strength. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us that we can fulfill the great commission, disciple nations, and build the church.

Transformation and Ministry Impact

A transformed leader produces a transformed ministry. When we are transformed by His power, it is reflected in the way we preach, the way we counsel, and the way we serve. Our sermons are no longer mere speeches; they become a conduit for God’s transforming power. Our counseling sessions are not just advice-giving but moments where the Holy Spirit can bring deep healing and change. Our service is not out of obligation but flows from a heart that has been touched and changed by God’s love.

Moreover, a transformed ministry has a transformative impact on the community. When a church is led by transformed leaders, it becomes a beacon of hope, a place where lives are changed, where the lost are found, and where the broken are restored. The power of God at work in a transformed church can break the chains of addiction, heal the sick, restore marriages, and bring revival to the community.

The Global Mandate of Transformation

Finally, let us not forget that our transformation is tied to the global mandate of the church. Jesus commissioned us to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). This is not just a call to evangelize but to disciple, to teach, and to transform. As we are transformed by His power, we are called to carry that transforming power to the ends of the earth.

In the past 15 years since 2009 we have aggressively pursue the issue of global mandate. We hold Global Prayers every month, praying specifically for nations. Under the platform of International Gathering of Eagles Conferences we go to several nations every year teaching, preaching and raising an eagle generation and putting Canada on the spiritual map of the world. We have done that in 47 nations. Last year alone we were in Colombia, Singapore, Indonesia, Togo, Republic of Benin, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Nigeria and of Canada.

The world today is in desperate need of transformation. We live in a time of moral decay, social unrest, and spiritual darkness. But we are not without hope. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work within us (Ephesians 1:19-20). As we allow God to transform us, we become His instruments of transformation in the world.

Conclusion: In conclusion, dearly beloved the call to be "Transformed by His Power" is a call to live in the fullness of God’s purpose for our lives and ministries. It is a call to be continually renewed by the Holy Spirit, to lead with integrity and humility, and to impact our communities and the world with the power of God.

Let us, therefore, commit ourselves anew to this journey of transformation. Let us seek the Lord with all our hearts, allowing Him to mold and shape us into the leaders He has called us to be. And as we are transformed by His power, let us go forth in boldness and faith, knowing that the God who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

May God bless you, empower you, and transform you for His glory. Amen.
