How to Bring Back Revival to the Church (Part 2) Pastor Amos Dada PhD;P.Eng

This is the concluding part of this series on this particular subject. Read , enjoy, apply and share with the body of Christ . Let us bring back the necessary revival to our lives, family, church and nation .

5. Reignite Passion for Evangelism and Soul-Winning
• “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19
Revival is not just for the church’s benefit—it spills over into the world. As believers are revived, their passion for the lost increases, and they are driven to share the gospel. Soul-winning and discipleship should be at the heart of a church seeking revival.
Action Steps:
• Organize evangelism outreaches and equip church members to share their faith confidently.
• Provide training on how to disciple new converts and help them grow in their relationship with Christ.
• Partner with local missions and outreach ministries to reach your community with the gospel.

6. Cultivate Unity and Love in the Body of Christ
• “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:35
Revival is often hindered by disunity, gossip, division, or unforgiveness within the church. When the body of Christ operates in love and unity, the power of the Holy Spirit is magnified, and revival breaks out. Revival thrives where there is harmony among believers.
Action Steps:
• Promote reconciliation, forgiveness, and unity within the congregation.
• Organize fellowship events that build relationships and deepen community.
• Encourage church members to serve one another in love and to resolve conflicts biblically.

7. Restore the Hunger for the Presence of God
• “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” — Psalm 42:1-2Revival is ignited when people hunger for more of God’s presence. A deep desire to encounter Him on a daily basis drives people to prayer, worship, and the Word. The Church must reignite this hunger and thirst for God.
Action Steps:
• Lead the church in praying for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
• Encourage members to seek personal encounters with God outside of church services.
• Organize revival meetings, prayer vigils, and worship nights that focus on soaking in God’s presence.

8. Empower the Holy Spirit’s Move in the Church
• “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” — Zechariah 4:6True revival is the work of the Holy Spirit. When the church allows the Spirit to move freely, miracles, signs, and wonders follow. The church must not quench the Spirit but yield to His leading in all areas of ministry.
Action Steps:
• Make room for the gifts of the Spirit to be active in church services (prophecy, healing, words of knowledge, etc.).
• Encourage the congregation to seek the baptism and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
• Foster an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit’s presence is welcomed and expected in every gathering.

Conclusion:
Revival in the Church requires intentionality and a return to foundational spiritual disciplines. When the Church prays, seeks God, repents, and commits to evangelism, the Holy Spirit will bring a mighty awakening. Revival transforms lives, churches, and communities, bringing glory to God and drawing many to Christ. Let us commit to seeking revival with passion, urgency, and persistence until we see the fire of God reignite His Church.

Prayer Points for Revival:
1. Lord, stir up a spirit of prayer and intercession in the Church of Philipine (put the name of your nation) for revival.
2. Father, we repent of every sin and compromise that has hindered Your move in our midst.
3. Holy Spirit, pour out Your presence afresh upon the Church, bringing transformation and renewal.
4. Lord, ignite a passion for soul-winning and evangelism in the hearts of every believer.
5. Father, let Your Word be preached with boldness and power, bringing conviction and change.
6. Holy Spirit, release Your gifts and power in the Church, confirming the gospel with signs and wonders.
7. Lord, restore unity, love, and harmony among believers, and break every spirit of division.
8. Father, let the fire of revival spread across our churches, cities, and nations, in Jesus' name.
