Boko Haram's renewed spates of attacks in the restive North East has resulted in the razing of at least 16 towns and villages in the area.
Musa Bukar, head of the Kukawa LGA in Borno said to the AFP: "They burnt to the ground all the 16 towns and villages including Baga, Dorn-Baga, Mile 4, Mile 3, Kauyen Kuros and Bunduram."
Reuters says that at least 100 people were killed in Baga over the weekend.
