Majority of Nigerians are not too comfortable with the alarming rate of corruption, currently ravaging the economic growth of the country, while others are afraid that some, if not most of the corrupt politicians looting the country’s treasury, may flee the country after May 29, 2015, before investigations are commenced/concluded.
Arresting and charging Minister of Petroleum, Allison Deziani Madueke and her counterpart, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, finance minister, will send a clear and unambiguous message about the ferocity of the incoming president’s war against corruption.
- President-elect, Rtd. Geneneral Muhammadu Buhari should should the charge against corruption immediately after his swearing in ceremony.
- Their arrest will yield more factual information into the more complex investigations and encourage others to step forward and make voluntary disclosures, thereby reducing the time and resources needed for the fight against corruption.

Based on factual allegations readily available in the public domain, following the defeat of the incumbent president, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, there is no better way and place to start that fight than the arrest Allison Deziani Madueke and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala before the end of day on May 29, 2015. Both women are currently serving as minister for Petroleum and Finance respectively. They both represent some of the biggest fishes, yes fishes, in the pond.
