The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ogoja II, has reacted to the viral rumours on social media that his marriage of 17 months to Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi has crashed, saying it is untrue.

His media aide, Comrade Moses Olafara, confirmed the Oba’s statement thus, “There is no truth to the news, it is unimaginable. We would issue a statement on the matter soon. The palace is not interested in this rumour as there are lots of positive activities happening every minute so we don’t have time to respond to such noise being created by nonentities.”

The couple got married in 2016 in Edo State and the ‎wedding rites were performed according to the traditional Benin culture at the bride’s family home on Ewere Street, Etete, in Oredo Local Government Area of the state.
