WHY ESABOD IS AFTER ME – K1

The king of Fuji, who recently got installed as the Maiyegun of Yorubaland, Wasiu Ayinde, has finally reacated to the viral rumour going round that he had an affair with the youngest wife of Alaafin of Oyo State, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.

A Dublin based vblogger, Esther Aboderin, popularly called Esabod, had in a voicenote alleged that Olori Ajoke Badirat Adeyemi had an affair with the fuji legend.

In an Insta-Live interview with the Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu, the Fuji maestro stated that the rumour was fabricated out of continued beef over his installation as Maiyegun of Yorubaland.

k1 stated that that he had been warned to be weary of any close association with Esabod but for his love for Yoruba race, he didn’t listen.
“Whenever I reflected on how Esabod and Abike Jagaban were always at each others’ throats, I was forced to intervene to settle the rift and allow peace to reign once and for all.
“Because the way they’re going about it is tarnishing the good image of Yoruba race all over the world.
“So at my own personal costs, I invited the two women to Nigeria and lodged them both at Radisson Blu. I appealed to them to bury the hatchet and use their platforms to promote the Yoruba culture instead of always smearing its image,” he said.

The Maiyegun, who also wondered why anyone could be so disrespectful to drag the Alaafin into her pettiness, recalled how he was instrumental to resolving the issues of libel against Esabod when she took on Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, in one of her numerous controversial sessions.
“I personally called the revered monarch and appealed to him to ignore and drop the case against Esabod. And he did. Ooni even told me I shouldn’t because of that come to Ile Ife as he had heard,” Ayinde lamented.
Recall that Esabod had in the past took on Ooni and accused him of human trafficking among the numerous unsubstantiated allegations she made against Ooni.
On the recent allegation, K1 the Ultimate, as the fuji maestro is fondly called, said there is no way it is even possible for him to have done that because his paths with the Alaafin’s wives were rarely crossing.
Alaafin of Oyo and Maiyegun of Yorubaland, Wasiu Ayinde, at the Alaafin’s palace in Oyo recently.
“It can never be possible. I only got to meet the wives when I was installed as Maiyegun or once in a when we met and greeted at events. So I dont always have the opportunity to know all the Alaafin’s wives.
“Aside from this, I’m a well grounded Yoruba man and such is a taboo for me.”
He reflected that all these were happening because we have lost the fear of God in us.

“Most religious people are hypocrites. If they have the fear of God, no individual could be so bold as to insult kings not to talk of smearing Alaafin’s image like that.

“An insurmountable curse also known as karma awaits those who are responsible for the rumour mongering because God is not mocked.”

Oluaye of Fuji, however, took a swipe at the media industry and demanded more professionalism from all stakeholders in carrying out their duties.
“As for those who rushed to publish such lie should always exercise restraints. A well trained journalist would never do such story. The ethics of journalism requires you do your due diligence well before running with it.
“If you, out of hatred for me, insist on destroying me, what would you gain?
Ayinde on the day of his coronation as Maiyegun of Yorubaland.
He appealed to all Nigerians to respect the traditional institutions, specifically the kings, because they’re the representatives of God on earth and desist from smearing their honours to score cheap points.
“It was very disrespectful for anyone to have been that bold to get Alaafin involved in his hatred for me. We need to respect our traditional institutions for our culture preservation.
“For the sake of my race, I have forgiven them. I have no issues with anyone. I became Maiyegun for the advancement of the race which will benefit all, I see no reason why that should be the essence of that hatred.”

On his future plans for elective posts, Wasiu Ayinde said he would rather sit on the sideline and make kings.
