When is Chetanna coming to Toronto?

The question some Nigerians in Toronto are asking themselves now is when will Chetanna movie come to Canada?.

Chetanna had successfully premiered in Virginia and Houston, America which makes it the first Igbo film to be premiered in US.  Last year The Publisher of Oases News was furious and not happy that Chetanna left Virginia and Houston without premiering in Toronto, Canada.  According to the Publisher "Toronto is a multi-cultural Society and we have over 50,000 Nigerians  here waiting to watch this movie, so we can't wait" .  According to The Publisher;  The Canadians love African Cultures, they watch Nigerian Movies and they know that Nigerians are doing very well in Movie industry.

According to The Publisher of Oases News; Michael Kehinde Abiodun , "as an International Languauge instructor in Yoruba in Toronto, we teach our children Yoruba art and material culture by examining them within the  context of the civilisation's cultural norms and values  so we need this movie in Toronto".

Atuanya who is a celebrated son of Igbo-land in partnership with Stella Oduah Foundation will be premiering his first flick, a big budget blockbuster titled Chetanna in Awka, Anambra State. The Premiere will take place tomorrow; Friday, December 18, 2015 at Marble Arch Hotel, by 4.pm.
This will be the first movie premiere in Awka and all Nollywood A-listers will be in attendance.

The movie which was directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka and features Queen Nwokoye, Ebube Nwagbo, Ebere Okaro, Obi Madubuogwu and Chigozie Atuanya, is the first of its kind in Nollywood; promoting the Igbo culture and tradition at its best.

It has as well won two prestigious awards; Council of Igbo States in America Awards (CISA) and GIMA respectively as the best indigenous film in 2014.
