Ondo State has become the latest state in Nigeria to be hit with a confirmed case of coronavirus.
The State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, disclosed this on Friday night on his verified twitter handle.
Akeredolu, who urged residents of the state to be calm over the development, stated that the index case was already under isolation while contact tracing had begun.
The governor’s twitter post read “We have just received confirmation of our first positive #COVIDー19 case in Ondo State this evening.
