Gosh in Water

Pataruni Gosh, a 67-year-old woman from Bengal India has been living in Water for 20 years. The alleged woman suffers from unknown strange disease that makes her body sore when comes to conduct with air and sun rays.

To ease her pain, she has to submerge her whole body from neck in a lake near their village. This has made her wake up very early at dawn to go at the lake and submerge herself in the lake before sunrise. She only comes out of the water at sunset and goes home only to sleep. She has been doing this for the last 20 years.

Her poor family says that they can't afford medical bills since she needs a specialist. The only help they can give is bringing food and keeping her company during the day as she says she's afraid to be left alone at the lake.

Life should be enjoyable. Her friends say they pity her that she has to leave in such a strange and painful way without any hopes for a treatment. The village peoples have nicknamed her Indian mermaid. We hope she one day leaves her water prison in good health.
