A father in India, is devastated after his daughter’s kidneys went missing during surgery at a hospital.

Hauz Khas Police said that the father of the 6-year-old girl has filed a complaint, alleging that a doctor at AIIMS (All India Institute Of Medical Sciences) has removed both kidneys during surgery.

 AIIMS said that it is investigating the complaint. Pavan Kumar came to AIIMS last year, seeking treatment for his daughter who had developed complications in her left kidney.

According to the first AIIMS test, the right kidney was in good condition, but the left was not functioning properly. A surgeon in charge of the case told the family that the left kidney has to be removed.

A few days later, the doctor performed the surgery in which the left kidney was removed from the patient. However, after a couple of days, the patient complained of severe pain.

A CT scan was done, and it showed that the girl had no kidneys. The girl has been on dialysis ever since the surgery. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, but so far, no arrests have been made.
