Men and secret wives: Other ‘wives’ show up at his funeral

Three women claiming to be the wives of slain businessman Jacob Juma showed up at the deceased’s burial ceremony on Saturday in Bungoma County.

The women attended the ceremony held at Mung’ore village with four children in tow whom were reportedly sired by Mr Juma.

All three women, including one identified as Pamela Lukuku from Tanzania, saying Mr Juma’s family know about them.

Mr Juma’s only wife known to the public is Miriam Wairimu whom he married in 1995 and had two children with – John and Irene.

However, it is reported Mr Juma met the other women between 1998 and 2000 and sired four other children with them.

THE ‘WIVES’

The three women who showed up at the funeral were initially only identified as Pamela (mother of Isaiah), Yuna (mother of Muhamud) and Lydia (mother of Jack and Rosie).

Mr Juma was shot dead on Thursday May 5 while driving home by an unknown gunmen near Lenana School.

Investigations into his murder are ongoing even as opposition leaders continue to blame the government for the wealthy businessman’s death.

Key Cord figures led by co-principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetang’ula and Kalonzo Musyoka were among the mourners at the funeral ceremony.

Others opposition leaders in attendance were the Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi, Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale and former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo.
