Being the first to tell a guy you like him sounds absurd in our society, but the truth is there are certain times it's just the logical thing to do. If you wait for a guy you like to make a move, you probably will be waiting for a long time. It is actually really hard for men to pick up you genuinely like them and want to start a relationship with them. If you find yourself in a situation like that, you may just have to take the bull by the horn and just spill it out. But before you go ahead and tell a guy you are interested, take this points into consideration;
- Make sure what you feel isn’t just an infatuation.
- Do not imagine that he also feels the same way as you.
- Be mentally prepared for a negative answer.
For women who feel this is just too risqué for them, there are ways you can tell a guy you like him without seeming too obvious or creepy.
Smile and be engaging: One way you can indirectly tell a guy you are interested is by smiling. And I don't mean the joker kind of smile, that is just bother-line creepy. When you are engaged in a conversation with him don't just allow him to do most of talking, engage in the conversation and smile while doing this. This will give the guy clues that you are interested in what he is saying.
Start a conversation: Learn to start conversations with this individual. This will show him you are an interesting person to hang out with. The conversation has to be on a topic that interests both of you. For e.g don't talk about football because he loves football, talk about it because it is something you both love.
Tip: Do not try to make yourself like the things he likes. No matter how much you try to fake an interest in something he likes, he is going to sense it and it will make you seem like you don't have a mind of your own.
Maintain eye contact: Maintain eye contact when he is talking to you, if you look around when he is talking to you, he is going to think you are not interested.
Ask him out: Invite him to casual activities that you are both interested in. this could be to the movies, to a concert or better still just play a game together.
Touch him: Don't touch him inappropriately. For example, if he says something funny, you can touch his shoulder and if you are sitting, you can touch his knee.
If you’ve smiled, and done the rest of the above points, and he still doesn’t get that you like him, babe just tell him. This will help you from saying "I should have told him" when he gets into a relationship with someone else. This will also show that you are confident and I think it will just make life a little less complicated.
