The ‘Ajayi the tailor saga’ in Akure in the mid 80s is a story I will like to share with my teaming followers on this blog. Permit me to say that, I don’t really believe in the cock and bull story then, however, with the recent events unfolding in Nigeria pertaining to rituals here and there, I now realize that that the “Ajayi the tailor’s” ritual story might be true !
Back in the days in the 80s, there were these stories that spread around like wildfire and one wouldn't know if they were real or fictitious. There was one about a lady who killed her boyfriend and while she was driving, she stopped to pick a passenger only to discover that the passenger had pins as his teeth, then out of fear, she told the man to drop. Apparently the man was the ghost of her late boyfriend - then as she stopped again few minutes later to pick another passenger, she started relating what occurred to her previously and the man suddenly opened his teeth saying "like this?!" and the lady froze to death in fear.
The most famous story then was about ‘Ajayi the tailor’ - a tailor based in Akure, Ondo state, who was alleged to have used his girlfriend for money making ritual and made love to the lady in a burial ground - thereafter, the lady started getting thinner by the day until she gave up the ghost.

Fast-forward, I saw the picture of the lady in question then, she was so thing that they have to support her with pillows….she eventually died. But the mystery behind her sickness was not known till date, because there was no autopsy result on her case. Who knows whether this girl died of AIDS at that time?....I call this fable from the past.
