The secret that Lagos Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode has been keeping for years has now come to public domain. We allegedly gathered that, aside being the spouse of the First Lady, Bolanle Ambode, the Governor is also a proud husband to another woman, who has two kids for him.
According to online publication, our exclusive.com, the Lagos governor is ‘secretly married’ to one Titilayo Yombo-Ambode (nee-Oyefeso), who hails from Iperu-Remo axis of Ijebu, Ogun State. Titilayo, we gathered, is a graduate of Marketing from the Lagos State University and now shuttles Canada and Lagos, Nigeria. Gov. Ambode, a well-applauded accountant visibly promoted into office by the APC chieftain, Bola Tinubu, hails from Epe, Lagos State, but is currently showcasing Mrs. Bolanle Ambode as the official First Lady.
Titi, we scooped, met the new Lagos governor about 24 years ago while he was working at Badagry Local Government Council as an accountant. According to Titilayo’s family members, who know better, they said Ambode got traditionally married to Titi 18 years ago when his first marriage to Bolanle (now First Lady) couldn’t produce a child three years into marriage, and the Ambode family pressure was so much on him, to look elsewhere, which brought Titi into the picture. The pressure was said to be more from Ambode’s mother, Christiana Ambode, who was the architect of the plan to marry Titi, the new bride in the making.
But it was revealed that by a twist of fate, the union between Akinwunmi and Titi will be a blessing to Ambode’s legal wife, Bolanle. However, Bolanle was spiritually cajoled to believe that getting a woman to bear her man a kid will help her fortune to make babies for herself. The first product of the Ambode and Titilayo’s union is a young teenage boy, named Opeoluwa, and investigations conducted revealed that the young boy is being kept out of public glare. Opeoluwa has a younger sister called Tobiloba in the tow. Though, two years ago, it was said that the governor brought smiles to the face of Bolanle when they had twins, a boy and a girl through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in the United States.
Days back, Titilayo gladly turned 40 and a classy, private birthday bash was thrown for her at Ogudu GRA. The lavish birthday bash was held inside the Recreation Centre’s Hall of Ogudu, GRA and it was under tight security, as neither journalists nor photographers were allowed entrance. Even guests were not privileged of taking snapshots within the hall premises. The biggest guest at the event was the governor’s mother, Mrs. Christiana Ambode, who described the birthday girl as ‘a woman more than a wife to the Ambode family’.
In a related development, before his election as governor, there were reports that Ambode had a steaming relationship with a young beautiful lady, Biola, then a youth corper, while he (Ambode) was living at Santos Layout, Akowonjo area of Lagos State; a relationship that resulted in pregnancy. Ambode, in desperation of how to shield the matter from prying eyes, had to look frantically relocate Biola to Canada where she eventually delivered a bouncing baby boy who was named Tayo. His friends, who are in the know of the clandestine affair of Akinwunmi and Biola, say he goes to Canada every year to visit the son and Biola with lots of goodies.
