A man was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping his two daughters and two nieces, police in Nigeria said.

Oyo State Police said that they have arrested 60-year-old Tajudeen Awoniyi, after being accused of raping four teen girls at his home.

 His daughters told investigators that their father raped them on several occasions, usually when he was drunk.

The suspect’s 15-year-old daughter revealed that she saw her father have sex with her two cousins, who came to stay with them for the night.

Awoniyi threatened to severely punish them if they ever disclosed the sexual abuse. The two cousins are 14 and 15 years old.

The girls were ordered to bathe with black soap before being raped by Awoniyi. A doctor confirmed that the girls have been infected with sexually transmitted diseases.

Awoniyi denied the allegation, saying that he only told the girl to bathe with black soap and never slept with any of them. He also said that he is being framed by his brother with whom he has a dispute.

Awoniyi was charged with rape and other charges.
