A 24-year-old sex worker and former student of the Vocational Institute in Owerri, Imo State, has said she has sex with at least 600 men between 2014 and 2015.

In an interview with The Sun, the self-confessed sex worker, identified simply as Beatrice Okeke in the report, said she resorted to the trade after she was faced with financial difficulties.
“We are poor,” Beatrice explained.

“My father used to be a driver but he is now a lumber jack while my mother is a full time housewife. Sometimes, she sells vegetables.
She said her boyfriend’s sudden decision to cease his financial support was her main motivation.

My boyfriend whom I met at Onitsha, Anambra State when I went to visit an uncle was sponsoring my education.
“We had agreed to get married as soon as possible.”

She said she was sabotaged by supposed friends.Then some people I regarded as friends started peddling wicked lies against me and without confirming if what they were saying was true or false, he called it quits just like that. They told him I had an incurable disease.”

She said she found a job at a bar to make ends meet but found the pay insufficient. An encounter with a customer who took her to his hotel room and paid her N15,000 for [sexual] services rendered the next morning made her consider prostitution as a profitable trade.

“They were paying me N10,000 a month and you work late hours.But if you go out to hustle in the night, you can get that kind of money within a day or two.

But it hasn’t as simple as it sounds, having to have sex with over 500 men and aborting two pregnancies in the process.

About 600 men slept with me from last year to this year.Beatrice however says she is done with the sex worker life.
She wants to settle down and get married.I want to settle down. I’m tired. Yes. I want to marry.I need God’s help in my life.

I’m not going anywhere again. I’m looking for true love. The one that will take good care of me.”
Unfortunately, she claims she has no money saved.
