Malawi President Peter Mutharika has hit out at Popular Nigerian televangelist, Prophet T.B. Joshua, describing him as a crooked individual who raises money through false prophecies.

Mutharika, who spoke during the opening of a teaching university hospital, was reacting to speculations that he had serious health issues was dying.

He also spared a few words for the Nigerian prophet describing him as a crook who raises money through “false” prophecies.

“Let me tell TB Joshua and your sisters (indirectly referring to former president Joyce Banda), you will fail. What you did in 2012, ( accurately prophesying the death of Bingu wa Mutharika), will not happen [this time around],” he said.

Mutharika also wondered why TB Joshua failed to prophesy the fall of his hotel which killed 90 people if he was a real prophet.

TB Joshua’s prophesy had been interpreted to mean either Mutharika or his Zimbabwean counterpart, Robert Mugabe would die by April 30.

“I am here as President up to 2024. In 2029 (when my term expires) I will campaign for a DPP candidate,” the President added.
