A prophet was left humiliated in front of his congregants after he was bitten by a lion.
 

The prophet of South Africa, was at the Kruger National Park with his congregants when he suddenly decided to show them the power of God.

Alec Ndiwane of Gauteng, who is the prophet of the Zion Christian Church, began talking about speaking in tongues as he walked towards the lions.

The prophet said that he was filled with the Holy Spirit, and decided to challenge a lion to battle. As soon as he went close to the lion, it charged at him and attacked him.

The lion mauled him on the behind. A park ranger fired his gun into the air to scare the lions away. The badly injured prophet was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

The prophet told police: “I do not know what came over me. I thought the Lord wanted to use me to show his power over animals.”
