The State Security Service has arrested five persons allegedly responsible for the creation of sleeper ISIS training cells in Kano state, Premium Times reports.
According to Kano state director of SSS, Abdullahi Chiranchi, the arrest is a significant breakthrough in combating terrorism in the country. He said it's a huge step forward blocking every possible move to make Kano a training ground for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, ISIS.
He added that those arrested were from Kogi State and were moving to Libya, Morocco and other places with ISIS presence.
He did not however disclose their names.
