A politician on Thursday, August 11, told a court in Kiambu of how he was lured by a woman to her house and robbed off KSh 53,000.

Kiganjo MCA Samuel Mwarage said he went to the house of Catherine Wanjiku to look at clothes she was supposed to sell to him but instead was confronted by the three people who accused him of sleeping with a married woman.

The MCA said one of the men claimed he was Wanjiku’s husband and forced him and the woman to remove their clothes in the bedroom and took their photos.

The MCA said Wanjiku remained quiet as he was dragged around, beaten with a panga and forced to pay KSh 100,000.

“I was beaten and scratched with the panga on my back, and cut on my right hand while trying to block them,

“I only had KSh23,000 in my pocket which I had withdrawn from the bank in the morning to buy medicine for my paralysed relative,” he said.

The MCA said Wanjiku remained quiet as he was dragged around, beaten with a panga and forced to pay KSh 100,000.

The MCA said Wanjiku and the man claiming to be her husband remained at the house as he was driven away but luckily was rescued by construction workers who saw he was in danger.

The Kiambu politician reported the incident to police in Kiambu who launched investigations.
