In 1939, in a small village located in Peruvian mountains, happened a real medical marvel.
When Lina Medina was 6 years old, she complained her parents about strong abdominal pains. After this, the girl was taken to the examination in Pisco, Peru. At first, doctors thought that Lina had a massive abdominal tumor. However, everything turned to be more unexpected: Lina was seven months pregnant!
Lina experienced premature puberty that is, according to the scientists from Mayo clinic, the puberty that happens much earlier that it should be and considered to be normal. The puberty that starts before 8 years old is considered to be premature. Thus, Lina’s case was extremely unique. Doctors decided that Lina developed completely at the age of 3.

May 14, 1939, Lina gave birth to a healthy boy by cesarean section. Until 10, the boy thought that Lina was his sister, and only later he found out that she actually was his mother.
