The Lagos-based lawyer recalled that the military junta headed by late General Sani Abacha once said in any country where insurgency lasted longer than two weeks, the government must be involved.
Calling for institution rebuilding of the military, he expressed concerns that Nigeria was at the mercy of the Chadian Army to fight Boko Haram.
He said Nigeria’s military had lost morale, courage and motivation to fight and defend the country.
He said: “How did we get to this point? Under whose leadership has the military been so decimated?
“It is under the leadership of President Jonathan. Before Jonathan, there had been insurgency, but no part of the country was lost.
“It was (the presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammadu) Buhari who crushed the Maitatsine.”
Keyamo, who appealed to the youths to vote out Jonathan, said Nigerians had suffered from 16 years misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He lamented that the Boko Haram, which he described as a ragtag group, grew in leaps and bounds under Jonathan.
He said: “If we give this president next for years, Nigeria will be worse for it. This is the height of cluelessness and lack of idea to be in firm of control of the military.
“This is the time to speak out. We must not be so comfortable in the South and forget what is happening in the North.
“The economy of the North has been destroyed under the leadership of this incompetent and clueless president.
“This government announced a ceasefire deal but Boko Haram responded by carrying out more deadly attacks.
“The same Federal Government that has announced the killing of Abubakar Shekau (Boko Haram leader) several times is now saying he must be caught alive.
“Who did they kill before? It is time to give other people the chance to see if they could do things differently.”
Keyamo said it was evident that the PDP was not ready to fight corruption for appointing Femi Fani-Kayode, who is facing corruption charges, as the Director of Publicity of its Presidential Campaign Organisation.
He also flayed Jonathan for granting state pardon to former Bayelsa State Governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, who was convicted of corruption, saying it cost a lot of tax payers money to secure conviction in court.
The lawyer warned that there would be revolution in the country if the PDP-led government sacked the Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, or stopped the use of Permannet Voter Cards for the forthcoming general elections.
Keyamo also said Buhari was a righteous man and “too tough for corruption”.
