Sequel to the deliberation of the White Paper Committee, headed by President Goodluck Jonathan to look into the recommendation of another committee headed by a former Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Stephen Oronsaye to restructure government Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies of, the federal government has reached a final decision on the report with approval for the scrapping of 220 Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies.
A list obtained by Abusidiqu.com shows that the Committed has approved the scrap of Bureau of Public Enterprises, BPE, National Poverty Eradication Programme, NAPEP and others. It however retained a number of Agencies.
The White Paper was submitted on June 11, while the Federal Executive Council reached a conclusion on June 26.
Below is the new status of the Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies of the Federal Government based on FEC approval.
