I use them for rituals – Cemetery worker arrested with human skulls in Ogun

A cemetery worker, Oluwatoyosi Akorede, has been nabbed by the police in Ogun state.

Akorede was arrested in possession of two human skulls.

The police image maker, ASP, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the report to DAILY POST on Monday, saying Akorede, an attendant at Ayepe Cemetery, was arrested on Sunday night at Isale Oko area of Shagamu by a patrol team led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Shagamu, SP, Moses Aduroja.

 

“Oluwatoyosi Akorede is suspected to have gotten the skulls by exhuming bodies of dead people.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP, Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the suspect be transferred to the command headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta for further investigation.

“The suspect is being interrogated to unravel the reasons for his action and has thus far confessed the items were needed to perform rituals,” Oyeyemi said.
