CONGRATULATIONS On behalf of the APC Diaspora Canada Chapter, we congratulate our In-coming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander In-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), our Vice President Elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) and all Nigerians on this very well Deserved victory by the APC at the March 28th, 2015 Presidential elections. We also congratulate all our candidates who triumphed at the polls for House of Representatives and Senate positions. |
This victory definitely births the brightness of a new dawn for our great country Nigeria and the beginning of a new foundation that would bring prosperity, hope, security and pride to all Nigerians. We thank all Nigerians at home for your dogged determination for change which you carried to the polling booths with your PVCs’; you are the real champions of this victory. |
We thank INEC for creating a relatively level playing field and impartiality in its conduct of the elections, even though the process was far from perfect, yet the introduction of new Card Reader technology into the electioneering process is a giant and bold step in the pursuit of error free elections in Nigeria. Despite harassments, intimidation, bogus accusations and death threats targeted at the INEC Chairman, Professor Atahiru Jega refused to be cowered or succumb to any of these, and his name will be etched in gold when history speaks about these events. |
We also thank all Nigerians in the Diaspora; your voices sounded loud and clear to the various parliaments and seats of power all over the Nations. You are the true ambassadors of our great Country, your inks, keyboards and phones have proven more powerful than the threats of militancy and violence the enemies of our country exhibited. |
We commiserate with families of our members, supporters, Ad-Hoc staff and other Nigerians killed by the senseless actions of criminals and opponents of Change, their martyrdoms would be forever remembered, may God grant them eternal rest. There are others also in hospitals with broken limbs, heads and bones; we wish them God's speed with their recovery. |
As we now prepare for the April 11th, 2015 Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, we encourage all voters to replicate what they did today and vote for APC candidates all over the country to make the call for 'change’ complete and thus making it easier for General Buhari and Professor Osinbajo transform our great nation, Nigeria. |
While we eagerly await the swearing date of May 29th, 2015, when the real task of Nation building begins, we implore all Nigerians to remain safe, vigilant and also be ready to protect this victory up until that date. |
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Up APC, ‘Change’ |
