A large group of people stripped a police officer of his clothes and beat him next to the body of a woman he shot dead.

Photos of the incident, which took place in Anambra, Nigeria, were uploaded to the Internet and went viral.

The photos show the officer sitting on the ground completely naked and bleeding from the head.

The officer is seen sitting next to the body of the woman he shot after getting into an argument with her.

According to witnesses, the officer worked security shift at a bank when he got into an argument with the woman who drove a tanker truck.

When the argument escalated, the officer pulled out his gun and fatally shot the woman.

A group of witnesses attacked the officer. They removed all of his clothes and pushed him to the ground next to the deceased woman. They then beat him up.

The officer’s colleagues arrived and eventually managed to break up the crowd and rescue him.

The officer was arrested over the death of the woman. Police have also questioned several people in connection with the assault against the officer.

So far, 18 people are expected to be charged over the beating.
