Canada on the April 11, 2015 State House of Assembly elections in Anambra State.
ASPA (Toronto) Canada wishes to congratulate the good people of Anambra State and our Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano on the successful conduct of the April 11 State House of Assembly elections.
The people of Anambra State have spoken clearly. Therefore, we must respect their wishes. The success of the just concluded Anambra State House of Assembly elections speaks to the level of appreciation. It is a credit to our Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano by the people of Anambra State for all the people oriented programs he implemented within this short time he has run the affairs of the state. It is a testimony to Governor Obiano’s purposeful leadership. The socio economic lives of our people have improved through sound security of lives and property, agriculture, infrastructure, and education through governor Obiano’s effective governance epitomized with credible decision making.
The intricacies of politics dictate that when elected officials disavow mediocre and embrace people oriented policies, they are roundly rewarded with more support. There is no doubt that ‘Willie is working’ and Anambra people appreciate him.
We wish to remind all the newly elected members of Anambra State House of Assembly that their election is a call to duty, and as such, they must ignore all divisive tendencies and join hands with our Governor to take Anambra state to a new level. We must not only be seen as the light of the nation but must show we are indeed the light of the nation by living it, which means living lives worthy of emulation.
On a related note, we advise our brothers and sisters who did not make it at this election to see the decision of Anambra people as supreme. Anambra State belongs to all of us. You must join hands with all Anambrarians regardless of political inclination to build Anambra State. There must be a viable Anambra State for you to seek the peoples mandate in four years’ time. If you destroy the state, there will be no state for us as a people. This is the time to bury our differences and rally round our Governor to strengthen him to continue delivering good governance for our people.
We wish our Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, our newly elected members of the state house of assembly, and all the stakeholders in Anambra State (regardless of political affiliation) God’s grace and blessings as we all join hands to move Anambra State forward.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT UNITED WE STAND AND DIVIDED WE FALL! However, we must stand united; keep up!
