What They Did Last Minutes Before The Execution

Pastors reveal the last moments of Nigerians and their fellows sentenced to death in Indonesia. Meanwhile Australia recalls its ambassador after the execution of two Australian citizens but Indonesian officials say they don’t care about that and that the execution was done perfectly.

What They Did Last Minutes Before The Execution

Sylvester Obiekwe Nwolise, Martin Anderson, Okwudili Oyatanze and Raheem Agbaje Salami were executed on Wednesday minutes after midnight.

Pastor Karina de Vega revealed the last moments of inmates sentenced to death in Indonesia. “They were praising their God,” she told press. “It was breathtaking. This was the first time I witnessed someone so excited to meet their God.

Father Charles Burrows, who was also present at the execution site, told that that all the sentenced to death chose to meet their death without blindfolds, starring right into the eyes of a firing squad team. “Everyone was looking forward, it seems everyone accepted their fate,” he said. Father Burrows also added that condemned prisoners sang Amazing Grace just after midnight. Then they started to sing Bless the Lord O My Soul, but the song was interrupted with gunfire. All the eight inmates died immediately after being shot in the heart. In case prisoners don’t die 10 minute after the execution, the commander of firing squad has to shoot them in the head with a hand gun.

One of the prisoners, Nigerian gospel singer Okwudili Ayotanze, hoped until the very end that his execution will be postponed due to his pending case in the Administrative Court. In case the court process had started earlier, Ayotanze could have been still alive. “He was a good person”, told a friend close to Ayotanze. “I will really feel the loss.
