An errant police officer has lost his cool during an argument and shot a woman in the mouth.

 

 

A police officer has reportedly shot a woman in the mouth in Lagos state.

 

The tragic incident happened yesterday, October 8. 

 

According to Twitter user @abba_kamselem, the incident happened at Salvation busstop, Opebi in Lagos.

 

The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Muyiwa Adejobi who has now confirmed the incident, revealed that the said police officer is not of the state police command but works in Lagos. He said the officer is the boyfriend of the victim and that preliminary investigations suggest that the officer fired a shot at her while they had a disagreement.

 

Adejobi added that the police have visited the hospital where the lady was rushed to and will give more information when she is stable and has been interrogated. He said efforts are being made to apprehend the erring officer.
