Coronavirus global death count tops 2 million, 400,00 in America

The global coronavirus death toll has surpassed 2 million.

The figure is double of the 1 million recorded in the last week of September 2020.

America is the worst-hit nation with 400,000 deaths and more than 23.5 million infections, according to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Others in the top 10 are India, Brazil, Russia, United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Countries around the world have counted a total of 94 million cases.

Experts are now in Wuhan, China, where COVID-19 was first reported late 2019.

The World Health Organization (WHO) sent the global team of researchers to investigate the origin of the pandemic.
