The spiritual director of Adoration Ministry, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka while speaking on his where about amidst jubilation of faithful, disclosed that Bishop Calistus Onaga ordered him to leave adoration ground, parish house and be on silence for 30 days.

Mbaka who regretted that Tuesday’s incidence was as a result of the refusal of the bishop to listen to him, disclosed that, he said during the meeting with Bishop and others, hr begged them to allow him attend the “E no dey again” programme so he will tell his people that they are having a house prayer for 30 days but they refused.

He howewer made another request for them to appoint another priest to celebrate mass in his absence, but they still declined.

2.) Police Speak On Kidnapped Miyetti Allah Chairman.

The Kogi State Police Commissioner, Ayuba Ede, has said it is yet to locate the whereabouts of the kidnapped Kogi State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), Alhaji Waikili Damina.

"Naija News" reports that unknwon gunmen had abducted the MACBAN leader six days ago.

The police commissioner stated that he was yet to receive briefs from the DPO of the local government council where Damina was kidnapped.

He however disclosed that the police have swung into action to find the chairman, promising that his men would soon swoop in on the kidnappers.

"Naija News" reports that Damina’s kidnap was confirmed to newsmen on Tuesday by the state Secretary of MACBAN, Mr Adamu Abubakar.

While revealing that Damina was abducted on April 30, he added that the abductors, numbering about eight, came in a white bus at about 12 noon to forcefully take away the Chairman from his house at Chikara village, Kogi Local Government.

According to Abubakar, he was informed of the incident about an hour later by the younger brother of Damina who claimed he witnessed the incident.

3.) Destitute, Hoodlums Turn Pen Cinema Bridge Into Abode.

Two months after the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, inaugurated the Pen Cinema Bridge, homeless people, including beggars and hoodlums, have occupied the facility and are allegedly using the opportunity to dispossess unsuspecting members of the public of their valuables.

During a visit to assess the situation on Tuesday, "Punch Metro" observed that the bridge, which was constructed to ease mobility of road users and members of the public, had become a shelter as people were seen taking refuge under and around it.

However, passers-by, motorists and business owners lamented the growing insecurity occasioned by the activities of people living around the bridge, adding that the area around the bridge was polluted by waste.

Speaking with "Punch Metro", a commercial bus driver, Shola Oye, said a lot of people live and pass the night under the Pen Cinema Bridge, adding that their activities had led to increment in the level of waste generated there.

One of those residing around the bridge, Rokeeb Oladimeji, told PUNCH Metro that he migrated from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Lagos in search of greener pasture, adding that he had been homeless since he got to the state.

A member of the NURTW, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told "Punch Metro" that aside hoodlums occupying the bridge, beggars and porters had also turn the bridge to place of abode.

4.) Germany Bans Ansaar International, Raids Islamist Group’s Premises.

German authorities raided the premises of Ansaar International across the country on Wednesday after Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced a ban on the Islamist organization and its sub-groups.

He disclosed that German children were being sent to facilities set up abroad where they were indoctrinated with extremist Salafist ideas to bring back to Germany.

5.) Attahiru Speak On Insecurity Issues.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, has reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Army to enhance reforms of the Army to address emerging security threats and resource troops as well as improve the capacities of Army personnel for complex operations.

The Chief of Army Staff stated this on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of Combat Arms Training week, held at the Command Guest house in Bauchi.

Represented by Major General Okwudili Fidelis Azinta, the Chief of Army Staff said that the Nigeria Army will utilize the support of international entities to defeat the various security threats confronting the Nation, adding that the measures when vigorously pursued and sustained, would make the Nigeria Army and combat Arms better equipped to take on present and future security challenges.

The Army Boss reaffirmed that the Nigeria Army will continue to evolve along with the dynamics of the society, pointing out that the Army must be prepared to adapt adequately to new developments while projecting into the future in order to sustain it’s capacity to meet roles as enshrined in the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his address at the occasion, the Special Guest of Honour and Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed, said that Combat Arms Training will put the Nigeria Army in a better stead to protect the territorial integrity of the nation and support internal security as aptly captured in the 1999 constitution.

Represented by the Special Adviser on Security, Brigadier General Markus Yake, the Governor said that the rise of crises across the country has made it imperative that the army comes to the aid of civil authority as these crises seems to linger, which calls for a holistic review of the Nigeria Army operational strategies and preparedness.
