Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigeria's president-elect has called for legislation protecting children from early marriage.

     

CHANNELS TV reports that Mrs Buhari made the call while speaking on the side-line of the Global Women Conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, shortly after her presentation on the danger women and girl child contend with daily.

While making the call for legislation against child marriage, Mrs Buhari said global legislation remained the solution to most challenges facing women.
