Nigerian Canadian Association (GTA), Toronto, Canada, is set to hold  Health Interactive Session on Prostate Cancer; Causes, signs, cures, Sexual Challenges, effects on marriages etc. on Saturday August 14, 2021.  Time 11:00AM Eastern Time (US and Canada).

The Chairman of the Board; Pastor Benjamin Allison said that;  "Our people need Help, Support, Advice and Guidance on Prostate Cancer".    He went further to say that, as an Association in the GTA  we have a duty to enlighten our men on how they can manage their health especially in these uncertain times.

Dr. John S. Kell; is the guest speaker.  Dr. John Kell is the Division Head Urology, Toronto East/Michael Garron Hospital.

Mr. Michael Kehinde Abiodun who is the Program Co-ordinator of the Project as well as The  Board Secretary of Nigerian Canadian Association, Toronto, Canada,  said the webinar seeks to provide insights and awareness of  Prostate Cancer.  The Causes, signs, cures, sexual challenges etc being encountered by men.   It is  the reality that Prostate Cancer has enveloped the whole world of men especially in the bedroom before, during and after the surgery.   This session will answer all questions.   "Health is wealth".

According to Michael Kehinde Abiodun; "I was diagnosed for Prostate Cancer in 2011 and a Radical Prostatectomy Surgery was done and it would be ten years in October this year that I had the surgery."  Abiodun went on, "being an identical twin - very Identical, my twin brother Taiye Abiodun relocated to USA three years ago and lo and behold he was diagnosed for Prostate Cancer a year after his arrival, he had to undergo Prostate surgery in 2019.  Before  my surgery in 2011, I went to meet my brother Professor Rowland Abiodun in USA to bid him farewell as I thought I would not come out from the Theatre room.  My brother Professor Rowland Abiodun, prayed for me that I would come out unscathed.

Phobia, stigma, social norms and beliefs still pose a major challenge to our society.  In general our society always think that every illness is death sentence,  "bewitchment", ostracization etc.

This webinar session will educate our men especially those in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, as well as our government  back home to intensify efforts in the supply of modern equipment to our hospitals in Nigeria, and to educate our men to lay off  their fears about the disease.

The President of the Nigerian Canadian Association; Mr. Ojie Eghobor during the last monthly meeting of NCA  informed the members of the association that  "We intend to host more webinars on other critical Health issues affecting our women too”, he added.

The organiser of this event, Kemi Amusan (Lady Kay), the immediate past President of the Association, astute corporate events organizer who has been working hard to make this even a success said; "NCA Greater Toronto Area is playing the leading role it is supposed to be playing by organiszing these monthly impacful programs".
