The police in Lagos has arrested two suspects Olalekan Oladipupo and Ayodele Ogunbiyi of an eight-man gang for allegedly robbing the manager of De-Sholly Petrol station located opposite Morogbo police station along Lagos Badagry Expressway, of N6.8 million in February this year. The eight-man gang believed to have received information from an insider in the petrol station stormed the petrol station on motorcycles and waited for the manager of the station, Adewale to drive out.
Adewale, who was on his way to the bank to deposit money was intercepted and shot in the armpit by the robbers, and dispossessed of the money. The two suspects confessed to taking part in the crime and named one Webo as their gang leader who provided the arms and ammunitions for the operation. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu confirmed the arrest.
