The Governor of Oyo State, has been called upon by the Association of Resident Doctors at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, to pay up the five months’ salaries they are been owned.
Dr Taiwo Akinbile, the President of the ARD, LAUTECH, said this on Thursday in Osogbo, adding that doctors in the hospital are currently undergoing hardship as a result of their salaries that have not been paid.
Akinbile added that the Doctors are still discharging their duties despite been owed for five months.
His words, “We commend Governor Abiola Ajimobi on his style of governance, which has brought about peace and harmony in the state. The governor has also done well to sustain LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
“But we want to appeal to the governor to ensure the payment of our salaries since January 2015.
“I tell you, despite the unpaid salaries, we are not on strike but we want the governor to urgently attend to our issue because our members are suffering seriously.”
