…Femi Osibona Was Adamant On The Building Project, We Warned Him Last Year – LASG

…As Dele Momodu has yet to speak on his wife whereabouts

It was a black Monday, November 1, 2021, in Lagos, as a 21-storey building under construction on Gerard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, collapsed, burying an unspecified number of persons under the rubble.

However, ROTA MEDIA gathered that the owner, Femi Osibona, and developers of the building project ignored advice from the Lagos State government and consultants. The original plan was for 15 floors.

As of today, 36 persons were brought out dead, while six others were rescued alive. Both the dead and those rescued were workers and hawkers at the site.

Recall the drama that occurred in 2020 when Femi Osibona was apprehended by Lagos State Government officials at the site of the building. The said video of the drama that took place in 2020 is now trending on social media platforms where Femi Osibona was seen being arrested by Lagos State Government officials at the site of the building which collapsed on Monday, November 1, 2021.

He was arrested for resisting, with the help of mobile policemen, attempts to inspect the construction work by officials. He was released the same day on “directives from above”.

At the tail end of this video clip, Fourscore Homes Chairman, Femi Osibona was seen to be arrested on the detained of his workers & sites locked up when it was first flagged that instead of the 14-Storey building, it’s been increased to 21 Storey’s and it collapsed on Monday.

Wale Bob-Oseni, a real estate dealer and executive director of the African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment, was on his way to the US on Monday. Then he got a call from Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, to check out the ongoing development at Gerard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos state.

On his way to the airport, he stopped by to see the 21-storey building being developed by his friend and associate. The building collapsed with Bob-Oseni and Osibona inside, and they are now presumed dead after 48 hours of rescue efforts.

Dele Momodu, former presidential candidate and publisher, who was close to both of them, told TheCable on Wednesday that both men were his “aburos” — an affectionate term for younger friends.
“Wale was on his way to the US… this is so tragic,” he told TheCable on the phone.
