The Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land,His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has expressed sadness and deep shock over the sudden death of High Chief Tunde Ilori Elerewe,the Elerewe of Owo Kingdom,who was murdered in cold blood yesterday.

In a message signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale, coupled with the condolence visit to the wife and family members at the Elerewe Court in Igboroko Quarters, by high – powered delegation of Chiefs where prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased, Oba Ogunoye described the untimely demise of the amiable Chief as a rude shock to him and the entire kingdom.

The Monarch who said, the young and promising High Chief of the kingdom who was shot by yet to be identified gunmen while championing the noble cause of his revered family which anybody who is close to him knew he held in high esteem,was unfortunate and painful.

Oba Ogunoye disclosed that, those behind the gruesome murder of this gentle, peaceful, unassuming and loyal Chief will be brought to book, as the Government has assured that, the perpetrators will not go unpunished as nemesis of their action will soon catch up with them.

While commiserating with the family, Igboroko Quarters and by extension Owo Kingdom, over this unfortunate incident, the Monarch prayed for the strength to bear the irreparable loss just as he appealed for calm, as thorough investigation according to the Government, will be carried out on the dastardly act.
