Maria is currently 30years old, but does not look like her age because of her illness. According to Maria's mother, she was born as a normal child, went to school and played like other children until one day, she lost strength in her knees after taking a nap. This happened after the shock of her father's death at a very tender age of hers. She had to drop out of school and since then, her situation keeps worsening as her neck can presently not be straightened and no control over her left arm as well.
People of the town always attack the mother as bewitching her daughter with her witchcraft to such a state, but the mother never admits to that. Maria's mother, Ancelia is soliciting for help so she can get her daughter well again as she has not sent her to the hospital because she had no money.
