FUEL SCARCITY: RADIO STATION SHUT, NO VEHICULAR MOVEMENT.......IN NIGERIA

As Nigerians continue to groan over the ongoing scarcity of fuel across the country, the management of Beat FM, 99.9 FM has shut down its radio station.

The Lagos-based radio station announced that its efforts to get diesel to power its generator could not yield any fruit, hence its decision to shut down last night.

The station, which made the announcement via its Facebook wall regretted every inconveniences the development might have caused its teeming listeners across the globe.

It post reads, “We are sorry to inform you that we will be shutting down the station at 8.30pm today. This is because we cannot find diesel to buy and the little that we have available, we have to ration to last as long as possible. We will be back on air tomorrow morning. We will keep you updated as the situation unfolds. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.”

Meanwhile, a check by DAILY POST Sunday morning show that the station is still off air.
