The man, who allegedly spent fake currency, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Ota Magistrate Court in Ogun State.

The police charged Samson, whose address was not provided, with theft and spending fake currency.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp. E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 1, at about 1:15 am at Triple 9 Hotel, Onipanu, Ota.

Adaraloye alleged that the defendant gave the fake currency to one Adeosun Oluwatosin.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
