The suspects, identified as Busari Aliu, 33, and Adetayo Segun, 34, were arrested in Ijebu-Igbo after they reportedly stole an iron pallet.

The Amotekun Corps in Ogun State has arrested two men for being possession of human skulls.

The suspects, identified as Busari Aliu, 33, and Adetayo Segun, 34, were arrested in Ijebu-Igbo after they reportedly stole an iron pallet.

The Amotekun commander in Ogun, David Akinremi, told DAILY POST that on November 4, one Mr Ibu Benjamin of Ayegbami quarters, Agunboye in Ijebu-Igbo had reported at the Amotekun office that, at about 9 am, he noticed that the heavy iron pallet owned by his landlady, Mrs F. Idowu, was missing.

The complainant had said the iron, worth about N350,000, was kept within the precinct of a fenced farm at the said address.

In their investigation, Akinremi said the corps, on November 20, arrested the two suspects, “who not only admitted their involvement, but led our operatives to recover the stolen item where it was kept.”

Akinremi, a retired Commissioner of Police, said during the search of their premise, “some pieces of carbonated human skull” were recovered.

“During interrogation, the suspects said they had gone into so many graves in Agunboye burial ground and removed several skulls of buried corpses which they sold to some members of their ritual gang,” he said.

Akinremi stated that the suspects have been handed over to the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Eleweran, for investigation and prosecution.
