“Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” (Eccl 5:10)
Money is one of the beasts that kills the best. Many people are dead today cos of the pursuit for money. Many have lost their lives cos of disagreement that arises over money. Many marriages have collapsed and good relationships lost due to money matters.
Unfortunately, like our elders use to say (Owo dun, sugbon ko le po) which means money is Sweet but has no oil. Money is not worth dying for. Money has no permanent destination. Money is a spirit.
Love money and you will never have enough. With a fat bank account, you will still not satisfy. Just like pastor Olukoya said in one of his sermons about money: Givers get keepers, lose.
Pst Kalejaiye said: You are poor if all you have is money and that brings us to the message. Money will leave you one day, and you will leave your money one day.
You are the poorest on earth if you have all the money on earth without the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Your money without salvation, love, kindness, charity, relationships, meekness, patience, peace, forbearance, joy, and self-control, is all vanity.
Last week, on social media, I saw the lying estate of one of the biggest boys in the USA with a different fleet of cars, 2 private jets, two expensive speed boats, and all kinds of luxuries, but unfortunately, he was buried leaving those luxuries behind after he died at a tender age.
On Sunday, I heard a story of a rich woman who was rushing to Lagos on a business trip but died between Akure to Ondo town.
What about the picture of another woman very known to me that I saw suddenly now on Facebook as deceased? It remains a shock not only to me but everyone who still saw her yesterday.
Brethren, the evil of each day is enough for the day. Pursue your salvation now. Repent and accept Jesus Christ now without procrastination anymore. Tomorrow might not be. Who knows? It might be too late for you.
Jesus Christ Is Coming Soon. And if He tarries in His coming, who knows if death is already knocking?
Please repent. I just told you.
Say: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
