The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one 32-year-old Roland Raymond, a resident of Detti village in Ganye Local Government Area, over attempt to collect money from a target.

Raymond is charged with the offense of criminal intimidation associated with kidnapping.

The suspect was arrested in response to a report by one Abraham Paul who stated that the suspect phoned and demanded N600,000 to prevent himself from being kidnapped.

According to a statement from the Adamawa State Police Command, upon receipt of the complaint, the police in Ganye Division, in collaboration with hunters, mobilized and arrested the suspect at the point of collecting the demanded money.

The statement, signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, assured that the suspect will be charged to court after investigation.
