President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Idris as the new Accountant General of the Federation (AGF).
Idris replaces Mr. Jonah Otunla, who was forced to retire from office following allegations of misappropriation of about N2.5 billion meant for security equipment at the Presidential villa.
A statement signed by Mr. Haruna Imrana, the Director Communications, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) on behalf of the OHCSF, Mr. Danladi Kifasi, said the appointment takes effect from June 25, 2015.
