N7bn Jonathan-CAN Bribe: Pastor Drags DSS to Court Over Illegal Torture

The Department of Security Services, DSS, has been dragged to court for torturing a man who alleged a bribe between ex President Goodluck Jonathan and leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

Kallamu Musa Dikwa, a Borno State-born pastor who is resident in Jos, in his suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja, said officials of the DSS tortured him after his allegation against CAN officials was carried by the media.
Dikwa had alleged in February this year that the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, gave N7billion to leaders of CAN on January 26, 2015, and that the money CAN chairmen across the country were given N3 million each.

Following that allegation, Dikwa was invited by officials of the DSS in the second week of March and subjected to treatments which he said were in violation of his rights.

He according to Daily Trust asked for N300 million as damages.

The pastor also wants an order restraining the respondents, either by themselves, their agents, servants and privies from further harassing, arresting or intimidating him.

The court is yet to fix a date for the case.
